Inspired by nature's raw beauty, Violet Clark Studio captures the light, shade and colour of Australian plants and flowers in garments enriched by natural fabrics.
Boorloo (Perth) based designer Lyndal Malarkey draws on her fascination and respect of the landscape and its resilience, marrying thoughtful and considered print designs across versatile garments and sleepwear.
We release in small, limited runs to honour the nature of slow consumption.

DESIGN PROCESS
Each collection begins with a list of words that evoke an all-encompassing energy which designer Lyndal brings into play to source inspiration, photography and other imagery to storyboard ideas.
Using a mix of mediums from pencil, felt tip pens, markers and watercolour, everything is hand drawn on paper until a pattern begins to take shape.
From here drawings are digitised to create patterns in Photoshop and Illustrator playing with scale and colour until a seamless textile begins to emerge.
Many colour ways are sampled on different base cloths to find the right combination.
Care, thought and consideration is applied to each piece before its final release.
